TACKLING LIGHT HAIR
Combining the high absorption benefits of the Alexandrite wavelength with the treatment coverage and comfort offered by SHRTM, the Soprano ICE Platinum delivers superior results for ‘stubborn’, fine, light hairs that other solutions find hard to catch.
SUITABLE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES
Featuring its exclusive 3D technology, Soprano ICE Platinum combines the three most effective laser wavelengths into a single applicator, simultaneously targeting different tissue depths and anatomical structures within the hair follicle. By combining the absorption and penetration levels of different wavelengths, along with SHR technology, Soprano ICE Platinum is the safest and most efficient hair removal treatment available today. enabling the procedure to be performed on all skin types - even tanned - anytime of the year.
FULL COVERAGE
During treatment, energy is applied over a large area - not just in the region of the hair follicle itself. The In-MotionTM technique accumulates heat, damaging the hair follicles within the treatment area, ensuring uniform, full coverage, and dramatically improving results.
MULTIPLES MODES
Alma's proprietary SHRTM technology can be used in three different ways: SHR in motion – constant movement of the applicator over the skin for fast and safe hair removal over large areas; SHR STACK – safe, stationary, multiple-pulse delivery of energy for small areas, such as the face and bikini area; and HR classic - stationary delivery of energy in one pulse.
FAQ
How does Soprano ICE Platinum laser work?
The Soprano ICE Platinum laser passes safely through the skin’s dermal layers. The laser works by gently heating and destroying the hair follicles at their base using pulses of infrared laser light which are attracted to the coloured pigment in individual hairs without affecting the surrounding tissues.
How does Soprano ICE Platinum differ from other lasers?
Traditional lasers fire single shot high energy which is uncomfortable and painful and can feel like the skin is rapidly being hit with elastic bands. The Soprano ICE Platinum uses low energy with frequent passes making the treatment more comfortable and virtually pain free, minimizing any side effects and delivers excellent results.
How safe is Soprano ICE Platinum?
Soprano ICE Platinum uses 3 wavelengths in a single pulse that produces high effective hair reduction with no related risks. The Soprano ICE laser parameters are specifically designed to match your skin and hair type, assuring exceptionally precise gentle treatments. Bonus- Even treat tanned skin.
Any pre-treatment advice?
If you have never had laser treatment before we require clients to book a free consultation session 24 hours before booking the appointment. A laser tech will go through a detailed consultation form and will conduct a free patch test to ensure your suitability for the treatment. Make sure to shave the area you want to treat or any area to experience laser and to conduct patch test before scheduling actual laser treatment.
What can I expect during my treatment?
24 hours before your treatment, you will receive a consultation form along with a consent form. The consultation form carries questions about your medical history. We request clients to fill consultation before their appointment. You will also need to have shaved the target area preferably 24 hrs prior to treatment. On the day of treatment, the area to be treated will be examined. The treatment will be fully explained and the therapist will advise the best course of action for each client. Before commencing the treatment, laser tech will confirm that there have been no changes in your medical history. Then you will be given a pair of safety glasses to wear. Tech will map out the area to be treated, a thick cold gel will be applied. The laser hand-piece is then placed in contact with the skin and is passed over the mapped out area numerous times until the treatment is completed.
Am I a good candidate?
The Soprano Ice Platinum is suitable for any skin type including skin that is tanned (wait 1 week after sun exposure). Our system uses 3 different laser light wavelengths to target the widest possible range of hair colors and textures. Laser hair reduction is most effective when your hair is significantly darker than your skin. If you have red or blonde hair, typically you may require more treatments and results can vary. As lasers target the melanin pigment within the hair follicle, ginger, white or grey hair will not be affected by the laser. The more melanin in the hair, the more effective the treatment tends to be. Very fine hair (vellus hair) may also not be the best candidate for laser hair removal because hair lacking sufficient density may not contain enough melanin for an effective result. We only treat clients who are 18 years and older.
What do I do between treatments?
Do not pluck, tweeze, thread, or wax your hair 8 weeks before or in between treatments because the hair root must be intact for the laser treatment to be successful. Shaving is permitted between treatments.
How many treatments do I need? Why do I need multiple sessions?
The number of laser hair removal treatments you’ll need for optimal results is difficult to predict. Each treatment results in about 20% hair reduction. With each new cycle of growth, less hair grows back. Hair growth occurs in cycles: • Anagen (growth phase) • Telogen (resting phase) • Catagen (regression of the hair follicle phase) Because laser treatments are only effective during the anagen phase, several treatments are often required to ensure effective hair reduction.
Are there any contraindications?
The following are contraindications to laser hair removal. If you have a pacemaker or internal defibrillator. If you use topical retinoids or retinol, avoid 1 week prior to treatment. If you are currently undergoing or have had Accutane treatment within the last 6 months. If you have a predisposition to keloid formation or excessive scarring or have suspicious lesions. If you used tetracycline, minocycline, doxycycline, or erythromycin in the last month. If you have any history of vitiligo, scleroderma, collagen disorders, radiation treatment, skin cancer, psoriasis, keloid formation. If client currently taking any medication or herbal supplement that may cause photo-sensitivity. Tattoos on the area to be treated. “Contraindication” means: A contraindication refers to a symptom or medical condition that prevents a person from receiving a particular treatment because it may be harmful.
Any after care tips?
After the treatment, hair regrowth occurs at different rates on different areas of the body, however new hair growth will not occur for at least three weeks after treatment. Anywhere from 5-19 days after the treatment, shedding of the surface hair may occur(the old treated hair). Over the course of your treatments, hairs will continue to weaken and fall out, the growth rate will be slower so you can space out your treatments according to this. After the laser treatment: • Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds • Avoid heat such as hot baths or showers, saunas, and steam rooms. • Avoid vigorous exercise and swimming as the chemicals in the water may cause irritation.
